Foundation donates $37,000 for school grants (The Salem News)
SALEM and mdash; The Foundation for Salem Public Education doled out nearly $37,000 in grants last week to fund innovative projects at all the city’s schools. The grants, awarded to 65 teachers, will fund everything from computer software to kite-making projects. The group raises money, largely through an annual auction, to fund programs that cannot be supported in the regular school budget.
